As you know from my previous article, I have been struggling with writer’s block. I’m almost never at a loss for something to write or talk about, just ask my sisters.
I’m not sure why I hit this mental barrier. Maybe I need fresh perspective. I confess, I overly rely on inspiration from popular media, meaning, I pour over articles and news headlines that spark ideas for my articles.
Coming up with fresh new content regularly is tough for many seasoned writers. I’m not exempt. It’s a lot of pressure to write in a way that knocks my reader’s socks off, every single time! My hope is to share my best tips and bits to help all of us generate fresh new ideas. If you are wondering why I am willing to share, its because many have saved my blog a time or two. Maybe if I throw enough ideas at you, one will spark some new inspired writing that pays the bills.
Today’s singular inspiration is the Bible. Before you click away, just know you don’t have to be a Christian to be inspired by this book. In full disclosure, I am a Christian and read for spiritual growth. But I also read other works that inspire me. The greater tip is to read, read, read! I find the Bible to be full of topics that make me think and ponder in a deeper way. When I read scripture, I wonder how this applies to my life. Does it make sense in today’s world? How can I share…
